Currently, the board has four standing committees that are tasked with supporting various aspects of the organization. The committees help in the selection of scholarship recipients, support fundraising efforts, and sponsor alumni events, among other things.

Students who are interested in certain fields can enroll in professional degree programs. Most of these professional programs don’t require a bachelor’s degree, but some require prerequisite courses. For example, a student entering medical school may have a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and take several prerequisite courses in mathematics, chemistry, and biology.
